Crack Me Up!

SPIES:
STAMPS: Chick (Taylored Expressions); Sentiment (Jillibean).
PAPER: Teal and white cardstock.  DP -
INK: Dandelion (Momento); Copics for chick.
EXTRAS: Scallop border die (Taylored Expressions); Egg and chick feet dies (Impression Obesssion); Chicken Wire impression plate (Taylored Expressions); chat bubble die (Taylored Expressions); light teal enamel dots (Recollections).

Ok, this almost never happens this quickly anymore --- two posts in one day!  Must be the combo of Claritin and DayQuil!  LOL

I had been working on this card last week for the Colour Me! challenge and then forgot about it.  Missed that one!  lol  But, I was also using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch so at least I'm in on that one.

I got this little egg die cut from Impression Obsession and had the idea to make a succession of a chick being hatched.  Probably not real unqiue but hey, I did it.  I used a chick stamp from Taylored Expressions that was in a hatched egg and I just glued the die egg on top of the stamp egg.  Oh, forgot to mention the cute little egg die came with little leg dies!

So here's the challenges I'm finally entering the card in:

Loppy Ears

Happy Monday!

It's gorgeous here in the Triangle today!  The azaleas and flowers are in full bloom, the trees are blooming and the pollen dust is settling on EVERYTHING!  Local docs are saying this is one of the worst allergy seasons in a long time.  I can certainly vouch for that!  The windows and windowsills all have a nice light green film on them too, which makes opening the windows for fresh air impossible right now.  At least the rain tomorrow will wash it away, providing brief relief as it will only be replaced by more pollen the next day. Got to love spring in North Carolina!

So it's a good day to get some spring cleaning done indoors.  We are finishing up the repainting of our bedroom and I will get some craft time too.

Mondays are always great craft days,
especially since Mondays mean
a new challenge over at

The Pink Elephant Challenge!

The Pink Elephant Challenge #246

Theme:  Easter

Here's my inspiration card:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Bunny Digital Image (Meljen's Digis). Subway art sentiment (Taylored Expressions).
PAPER: White card base. Mint green and coral cardstock.  DP (may be Mary Engelbreit but have had it so long I'm not sure).
INK: Copics and Blick markers.
EXTRAS: Corner punch (EK Success); White doily; lavender ribbon; wooden button; enamel dots; leaf die (Taylored Expressions).

I thought this little loppy eared bunny at Meljen's Designs was absolutely adorable.  So I colored him with Copics and fussy cut him.  The background paper I've had for forever it seems.  It looks like Mary Engelbreit design but I don't think it is but I couldn't tell you what it is otherwise.  lol

The bunny had a flower on his head but I decided to make a flower like the ones in the paper.  I cut a small circle and a couple leaves from a leaf die and added the peach enamel dot.

Butterfly Thanks

Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful spring weekend!

It was kind of cool in NC.  I unfortunately stayed indoors all weekend trying to get rid of my allergies. I love that after the long, cold winter experts are saying spring allergy season is going to be worse than normal due to the moist winter. Thanks for that Mother Nature!  I've been feeling it worse than usual for a week now and the pollen has barely begun to dust everything!

At least today is Monday,

which means Pink Elephant Day!

That always brightens a Monday!

This week is an Inspiration Challenge

and here is the

How pretty is that?  Love those beautiful flowers and colors!

Flowery Hello

Happy 1st Sunday
in April!

"This is the day that the Lord has made;

let us rejoice and be glad in it."  Psalm 118:24

To me, Sundays, have their own special feel.  They are the Lord's Day.  Yet they also just seem naturally quieter, slower even more celebratory.  And what do you need most to make celebrations even more celebratory? ---

CUPCAKES!

But these cupcakes in particular won't put unwanted pounds on you!
Of course, I'm talking about

the weekly
