Hi Sweetie

Happy Monday!

Mondays sure do come around quickly, don't they?

A quick post this morning before I'm off to craft with Bonnie!

I had made part of this card for another challenge and then it came and went and I forgot to finish it.  This past fortnight challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments was perfect for my colors.  I had this background all ready on a card front and I thought it went well with my watermelon slices.  I cut the watermelon from watercolored panels in my stash. So a nice CAS card today.

The Zest

Hello again! It's me! 😉

Another card from this weekend.  One of my recent purchases was these lovely lemon dies from Sunny Studio. I love how real they look. As I've been going through my stash of homemade backgrounds, I realized I need to use some of my patterned paper too.  I love patterned paper but I find I don't use it as much as I want. I don't know why.  I have a cabinet and cart full of it.  I have alot from my scrapbooking days, which I really need to get back into some scrapbooking again.  Presently, I'm concentrating on the card paper.  And there are a couple challenges that require patterned paper so double win. Also, Michele from I Card Everyone shared some recent cards using some of her gorgeous patterned paperand she inspired me to break out my patterned paper and love it more often. I thought the sketch at Hand Made Sentiments would be perfect for patterned paper.  So it begins!

Live In Color - Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #551 Hobbies

Hello Monday!

Hope you had a nice weekend.  The Hubs (rarely off for an entire weekend) and I did absolutely NOTHING but relax at home all weekend.  It was so nice and we didn't feel guilty one bit.  Well, maybe felt a little guilty but it was fleeting. LOL. Today however is back to the grind of responsibilities.

And one of those responsibilities is announcing the new challenge at Cupcake Inspirations this morning.

The new challenge is Hobbies.  Create a project showcasing a hobby, which if you're here and playing, obviously card making is your hobby.  So, it's create a project of a hobby within your hobby!  LOL

I chose art/painting and created my own watercolor background.  The paint palette, paints and brush stamps/dies are by Sunny Studio and was perfect for this challenge.  I stamped them in Catherine Pooler Inks to match my background colors.  I also applied some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the paints to give them a "wet" appearance.  The sentiment is from Sugar Pea Designs "Color of Life" set.  The colored stitched layer was ink to paper with Fiesta Blue ink.

Please stop by the Cupcake Inspirations blog and see the rest of the inspiration created by my fellow Designers.  Then come play along with us and share your hobby within a hobby.

I am also entering the challenge at Time Out Challenges, which is Create Your Own Background.

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Sentiment - Color of Life (Sugar Pea Designs); Color My World (Sunny Studio)
Paper: Neenah Solar White 110 lb; Watercolor paper (Strathmore); black cardstock ( Bazzill).
Ink: Party Dress, Tiki Torch, Limoncello, Garden Party, Fiesta Blue, Flirty Fuchsia, Sand Castle, Over Coffee, Buttercream, Midnight - Catherine Pooler Inks
Extras: Rectangle stitched frame die (Lil Inker Designs)'; Silver embossing powder (Stampin Up); Nuvo Crafty Glue.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you visit again soon!

Artful Blessings!
