Love and Alcohol

 Happy Saturday Evening!

Love & Alcohol --- not the kind you're thinking.  I created this Valentine  from an alcohol inked glitter background.  Sweet and simple! It is from one of the alcohol inked glitter cardstock I created.  The cardstock was somewhat thin and an iridescent pale blue, I mean VERY pale blue.  I used pink, red and purple alcohol inks on it.  Then I just cut the cover plate (Lil' Inker Designs) from the cardstock as well as a white one to elevate it a bit from the cardbase.  I added a few pearls on each heart for some added interest.  That's it!  You can see all the texture from the paper.  It's very pretty IRL.

Sugar Hearts

Hello again!

I have one card right now to share from my rainbow background blending bonanza! You can see the previous post where I shared all the backgrounds here. I started with the background created with the newest ink collection, Date Night.

As I stated in my previous post, I used a new stencil by Catherine Pooler Designs, the Scribbled Heart Stencil. I applied some Bo Bunny Sugar Glitter Paste after inking the stencil.  I loooove that paste!  It makes everything sooo well, sugary!  I die cut the frame with a rounded corner stitched rectangle die for added interest.

I decided I wanted to keep this the total background so I kept other elements fairly light.  I cut the "love" die from Pucker Up inked cardstock.  I have a very old Valentine stamp set by Recollections that I won't part with.  I love the hearts with various phrases on them.  They remind me of those chalky pastel colored candy hearts with love messages on them.  I inked them up in the Date Night colors also and double backed them for some dimension.

Now I want some candy hearts to snack on!  LOL.

Thank you for stopping by!

Sugar Heart Blessings!

Lots of Rainbow Hearts

 Good Evening!

TGIF!

I'm sharing some backgrounds I made a few weeks ago.  I may have gone a little rainbow happy! LOL I used a new stencil by Catherine Pooler Designs, the Scribbled Heart Stencil.  It was part of the January Release and I bought it along with the new ink collection, Date Night, which was also released last month.  After I created the Date Night background, I decided to go on and create a background out of all the different ink collections from Catherine Pooler.  I may be on a slight rainbow mode presently. 😉🌈

Party Collection- Date Night

Party Collection - Foundations

Party Collection - Life of the Party

Party Collection - Spring Fling

How Now Rainbow Cow

Good Afternoon!

I have a post today! <gasp>. I've been creating quite a bit, just haven't taken time to post any of it.  So I'm taking some time today to share some of it.  First off...

Who doesn't like a rainbow cow?

I got this very cool cow stencil by Sweet Poppy Stamps for Christmas by my dear friend, Bonnie, and when I got the new Date Night inks from Catherine Pooler Designs, I just had to ink him up in them.  And of course I had to top him off with a wreath of flowers (flower die by Lil' Inker Designs) and a great encouraging sentiment (Catherine Pooler as well).

Hope this colorful cow brings a smile to your face today, particularly if the weather out your window isn't so bright and cheerful.

Rainbow Cow Blessings!

 Good morning!

It's Thursday and so it's time for a new challenge at Krafty Chicks.  This week is our stamping challenge.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #545 Stamp Act

(Must have stamping)

I have LOTS of stamping on my card for this week's challenge.  I used a Catherine Pooler Designs background stamp and the two birds are from her as well.  They are a two layer stamp set with outlines and then filling.  The small sentiment is also stamped in Versamark and white embossed.  The sentiment die is also by Catherine Pooler.

I hope you stop by the Hen House and check out the rest of the team's stamping projects and welcome our February Guest Designer, Billie! Then, come and stamp with us!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #544 - Any Occasion

 Good Morning!

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge at Krafty Chicks.  Lori is our hostess for our last challenge of January.

I made this card for my nephew whose birthday was in December.  Chalk it up to my brain to forget he was ACTUALLY 17 not 16!  LOL. He appreciated it anyway and the giftcard that was inside.

I used a stencil and Catherine Pooler inks to created my background.  The balloon I die cut from some alcohol inked glitter paper I created a while back and cut a 16 from gold foil cardstock.  The number dies are Catherine Pooler and the balloon die is by Lawn Fawn.

Be sure and check out the rest of the Design Team's projects over at the Hen House and also our Guest Designer, Sandy.  It's her last week with us.  Give her some blog love.  It's been a joy having her!

Splattered Thanks

 Hello there!

I have a non DT card for you today.  I've been creating bits and pieces of cards and now getting around to assembling them.  Lately for me, that's a looong process!  Anyway, I'm on the last day to enter for the CAS Mixup Challenge.

Here's my card:

I used some new inks by Catherine Pooler to create a splattered background along with a splatter brush and some water.  Then, I cut die cut the leaves, Catherine Pooler also.  I used the Scallo[s Panel Die  by Waffle Flower (which I won on a Instagram draw from them) to create my back panel.  However,  I off the top and bottom of it after stamping the sentiment in Mardi Gras.  I added a back layer of green cardstock to enhance the green of the leaves.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #543 - CAS (Clean & Simple)

Good Morning!

It's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks!  It's week #3 so that's our CAS (Clean & Simple) Challenge.  AND, our host is our new CHICK, Diane!  YAY!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #543 - CAS (Clean & Simple)

For my card, I made my background a while back using the ink pad swipe technique.  It's so easy and quick to create a colorful background.  The stamp (wreath and sentiment) is by Catherine Pooler Designs.  I stamped it in Midnight and then took a blender pen and used the same Catherine Pooler inks I used for the background to color in the flowers and then used green for the leaves.  Added a few sequins and done!

Check out all my fellow Chicks' projects at the Hen House.  Such talented ladies always have beautiful things.  Then come play along and play with us and support our new Chick in her first challenge!

Good Morning and Happy New Year!

Diane Lebrun

Diane's Blog is "Ink Outside The Box With Diane"

I decided to create a New Year card for my first card of this year and our challenge.  The sentiments are all from Papertrey Ink.  The party items are by Stamplorations.  They were stamped with Catherine Pooler inks.  The glass and the horn were colored with a gold pencil.

Being a new month, we also have a new Guest Designer with us, my friend, Sandy Gordon.  You can read about her and see her project over at the Hen House and check out the rest of the Chicks' projects.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #539 - All Occasions

Good Morning!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Can you believe it?  ONE MORE DAY! WHOA what a year!

Anyhoo, it's also Thursday and there is a new challenge at Krafty Chicks today.

I'm not sharing a Christmas card today. I have a birthday card instead.

I took December off basically from creating to spend time with my family and since the Hubs was working dayshift and light duty after his surgery in November.  I tell you, when you're used to your husband working nights for 20+ years and then he goes to dayshift for a month, it's a big change.  My routine was completely thrown off!  He is now back to his regular nightshift duties in the ER this week.  My routine is still off.  LOL

Stop by the Hen House and check out the rest of the Chicks' project. Then take some crafty time for yourself this week and play along!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #538 - CAS (Clean & Simple)

 Good Morning!

It's time for a new challenge at Krafty Chicks Challenge today.  Leanne is our hostess.  It's our CAS week.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #538- CAS (Clean & Simple)

I've had this panel sitting on my table for months and decided to put it to use finally.  It's a stamp, stamped in Versamark then embossed with white powder.  Then I used Zig brush pens to color the flowers.  The sentiment is a die cut I cut twice in white cardstock and once in watercolor paper.  The watercolor one I smooshed with Grape Crush ink by Catherine Pooler.  Next I stamped it in Versamark and used some purple emboss powder by WOW.  I kept the rest simple using just hues of purple for the background.

Come check out the rest of the team's projects including our December Guest Designer, LeAnne Pugliese.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #537 - Christmas

 Hello!  Good Morning, Thursday!

It's time for a new challenge at Krafty Chicks Challenge today. I'm your host this week!  Our theme this week is Christmas!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #537 - Christmas

I made another card with the alcohol inked holographic cardstock backgrounds I made several weeks ago. I really love that technique.  So easy and leaves such a beautiful effect!  I left this fairly simple so the colors would stand out. The background and sentiment die is by Catherine Pooler.  The tree frame is Memory Box.

Stop by the Hen House and check out the rest of the Chicks' projects including our Guestie, LeAnne Pugliese. Then come play with us and finish up your Christmas cards!  It's just two weeks away!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #536 - Stamp Act

 Good Morning!

Happy Thursday!

This week sure blew by quickly! I made a list last week for this week of things needed done and I got two checked off.  All my Holiday shopping is now DONE!  Took me three days online but it's D-O-N-E, DONE! LOL    So now I can concentrate on decorating and stamping, not in that order, maybe.

Of course today there is a new challenge at Krafty Chicks Challenge, which is why you're here.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #536 - Stamp Act

It's the first Thursday of December, so it's our "Must Have Stamping" challenge.  You must have stamping on your project.  Below is my card, another slimline birthday card with a snarky sentiment by Riley and Company.

Stop by the Hen House and check out the rest of the team's Stamping projects.  Also welcome our December Guest Designer, LeAnne Pugliese from Weeinklings.  So happy to have her with us this month!
