This week's challenge
is a
Color Challenge ---
Goldenrod ~ Kraft ~ Chartreuse

Check out the other DT Sweeties projects at the CIC Blog and leave them some blog luv.  Then link up your project inspired by this week's colors and share it with us.

We love it when you play along!
Here is my card:

SPIES:
PAPER: White cardbase.  Kraft, white cardstock.  Gold and mint green (Core'dinations Cardstock); Patterned paper: Home Basics (Recollections).
EXTRAS: Tag; Leaf die (My Favorite Things); Rose die (My Favorite Things); Border die (Spellbinders Bordabilities Two ); Chevron ribbon (May Arts).

My original plan for this card was to use a flower stamp/die combo and a stamp sentiment.  But, I wanted to showcase the Core'dinations paper a little more since they are our sponsor this week.  So, I decided to use more dies then wound up not using stamps.  And, then while choosing my patterned paper, the set had these really neat subway art type sentiments.  So, I decided to use one of them.  The color was perfect with the green cardstock!  The scallop on the bottom of the tag is part of the Spellbinders wavy border sets.

Thank-Fall

A Fall card today.  And a quick post!

Well, kind of quick.  I had my card all finished, photographed and posted to the challenges.  But just wasn't satisfied with it totally.  So, I  made a last minute decision to change the layout a bit ---  this is my final version:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Leaf stamps (Inkadinkadoo).
PAPER: White & pale red cardstock.  Transparent paper.
INK: Dylusions ink on leaves; Tuxedo Black (Memento).
EXTRAS: Stitched circle mat (Lil'Inker Designs); Circle die (Spellbinders); wood emboss folder (Cuttlebug); letters (Impression Obession); "Thank" (Taylored Expressions); Fall sequins (Simon Says).

It started like this:

The paper for the leaves was old background paper I had made using Dylusions ink.  I stamped the leaves and then fussy cut them.  I was also going for a hole-in-a-tree effect also for the shaker.

Happy Birthday To My Hubs!

Happy Happy #49!
I have to pay a little tribute to my Hubs, David Salkeld.  Today is his 49th birthday.  We've been together for 28 years, 24 of those married.  The first photo he is actually 21, but such a baby face!  lol  He's the love of my life, truly!  He's a wonderful hubby, father, son, son-in-law, brother, nurse, friend, etc!
I love you!

Blessings

Good Morning Monday!
Time for a Pink Elephant Challenge!  Wahoo!

This week is an Inspiration Challenge
with a fabulous
Inspirational Photo:

How gorgeous is that?

Be sure and stop by the blog and check out the rest of Ella's design teams' projects.  I'm always blown away by everyone's talent and creativity!

Here is my card:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Grow Love set (Raisin Boat); Fabulous Flowers (Simon Says); Sentiment (Verve Stamps).
PAPER: White and black cardstock; DP - Summer Bliss (Echo Park).
INK: Tuxedo Black and Dandelion (Memento).
EXTRAS: Butterfly double die (Impression Obsession); Black gem dots.
The polka dots and the yellow is what spoke to me from the inspirational photo.  I've had this floral set from Raisin Boat for a couple months and kept wanting to use it and just haven't.  Life for the past 2-1/2 months have been derailed from an unexpected health issue, but <knock on wood>, hopefully I am now truly back on track and can build up some crafty momentum.

I say the all the stamps are from Raisin Boat, but the large "dot" in the middle of the flower is from a Simon Says set, one of their monthly kits.  And the sentiment is one of my new ones from Verve stamps. They had a fabulous Labor Day sale that I happily partook part in!  (happy mail) :)

Then link up your project with the InLinkz and share your creativity with us!  We love having you play along!  We not only select a random prize winner but we also showcase several Sweetie Picks each week! You might be one of the next ones!

Check out my card below:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Apple (StampinUp!). Sentiment (Hampton Art).
PAPER: Kraft and red cardstock.  DP -Old, old from my stash.
INK: Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red (Memento).
EXTRAS: Basket die (Impression Obsession); Double bow die (Impression Obsession); Notebook paper die (Lil' Inker Designs); Banner die (Reverse Confetti); "You" die (Simon Says); red mini clothespin, red button dot.

I appear to be lacking in the back-to-school stamp category.  I believe it is due to my testosterone dominated household.  Somehow things like this are lost on the young male gender.  Go figure. LOL  So I had to raid my stash of scrapbook paper for their school scrapbooks (no, not finished yet, even though they are almost done with college).

I chose the freestyle collage method from The Card Concept for my card.  My background paper reminded me of a chalkboard.  And I wanted to incorporate some notebook paper using my notebook die, so I figured collage style was the way to go.

Thanks for sponsoring us!

So stop by {PIN}spirational Challenges and check out all the projects from my fellow design teamies. Then, link up your project and play along.
We love seeing what you create for our challenges!

And now here is my card:
SPIES:
STAMPS: Tea Time Sugar Cube (Bugaboo); Sentiment (Fiskars). PAPER: White, cream and teal cardstock; DP - All Abloom (Stampin Up!). INK: Teal Zeal (Memento); Copics on image.  EXTRAS: Scalloped square dies (Spellbinders); label die (Taylored Expressions); banner die (Reverse Confetti); rose emboss folder (Anna Griffin-Cuttlebug); heart enamel dots; clear gems; white glitter (on sugar cube).

I love this little tea bag guy!  He's so cute!  I was a little perplexed as to what color to make him as teabags are white but that just seemed to drab for this.  So I gave him a little skin color.  I also paper pieced part of the cup with some patterned paper.  I sprinkled some glitter on the sugar cube too.

Be Awesome

Happy Labor Day Monday (in the U.S.)!

Time for

This week is another theme:

Back To School

Across the U.S., today marks the very last day of summer before school starts, although many already have gone back.

What better way to ring in the new school year than a Back to School theme.  Check out the rest of Ella's team's projects at The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog. Then, link up your own "back to school" project and share it with us.  We love having you play along and seeing everyone's creative talent!

Both of my sons are entering their Senior years in College this fall.  It seems like yesterday when I was packing their lunches and driving them to elementary school.  It sure does fly by quickly!

So this theme was a bit of a challenge for me.  I have graduation stamps but nothing really just school related except in my scrapbook stash for school layouts I yet to finish.  Yeah, I know what you are thinking, my boys are in college and I'm still working on elementary-high school school layouts! LOL

Here is my card:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Sentiment (Impression-Obsession).
PAPER: Kraft, royal, red and black cardstock; DP - From my stash.
INK: Versamark; White chalkboard ink
EXTRAS: Star framelits dies (Sizzix); Notebook die (Lil Inker Designs); Small matted stitched rectangle (Lil Inker Designs); silver star brads; primary candy dots (StampinUp); Kraft cording; pop dots.

The sentiment is a new stamp from Impression Obsession and I thought it would be great for this card.  I made a little chalkboard out of black and kraft cardstocks and stamped the sentiment in Versamark and embossed with white powder.  Then, I took white chalk ink and moved my stamp a bit and stamped over the embossed one.  And, I saw the color block paper in my stash and it reminded me of a box of crayons so I decided to use it.  The card kind of came together then but I had the hardest time deciding where to place the flare sticker.  I did use my new notebook die from Lil'Inker Designs which I think added a little more school touch.  And as I said, I don't really have any "school" elements so I used silver star brads and enamel dots to embellish.

For Following Challenges:

 I used the sketch

Something Old/Something New

Old:  DP paper, Flare sticker, silver star brads
New:  Notebook paper die, Sentiment stamp, candy dots

Happy "PINK" Labor Day
Blessings!

Tea-riffic!

Good Sunday Morning!

It's the last day of August!
I can't believe that, although it does feel like August ---
all sticky and humid!

But what better way to seek some refuge

than to play

at this week's

This week is a color challenge:

Coral ~ White  ~  Pool

Be sure and check out the rest of the Design Sweeties' projects over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog
and then link up your own, inspired by this week's colors and share it with us!

We love it when you play and share!

Here is my project:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Digital Image - (DTS Art); Sentiment - (Fiskars).
PAPER: White, pool and coral cardstock.  DP - various.
INK: Copics on digital image; Rose ink - unknown.
EXTRAS: Decorative circle die (Spellbinders): stitched circle mats (Lil'InkerDesigns); Small tag (Paper Sweeties); light blue ribbon; coral rose (prima); glitter-on wings; Stickles on flowers.

My card is a little more simpler than I planned.  My week from Wednesday on went dramatic downhill as the infection I have been fighting for the past two months reared it's ugly head again after a brief week of thinking I was over it. So, once again, pretty much every plan for my week was halted.  But now, I'm on new meds and crossing my fingers they finally get rid of this thing!
