Colour My Life

Happy MLK Day!
Hope if you have the holiday off you are enjoying it!

This morning it is time for another great challenge at
The Challenge!

Remember, you can play with just the Colors OR the Sketch OR BOTH!

Stop over at Lesley Croghan's blog for all the details and more inspiration from my fellow design team members.  So many talented ladies with fabulous projects!  Then link up your own project to share with us.  You have two weeks to do so.

For my project, I used a new stencil for me, the Tim Holtz splatters stencil.  After posting the card, I decided it needed a little something more, so I added a couple enamel dots to it.  Hopefully I will have another small photo of the addition here later.  I also did the "smash the emboss folder with a hammer" technique too.  That's not the formal name for it but that's pretty much what you do!  LOL  I had a lot of fun playing around with it and love the result of my final card:
For Following Challenges:

SUPPLIES:
STAMPS: Sentiment -  Color and Sunshine(Simon Says Stamps).
PAPER: White cardstock from Core'dinations.
INK: Teal, Tomato (SEI); Dandelion (Memento).
EXTRAS: Distressed Bubble embossed folder (Tim Holtz).

Colorful Challenge Blessings!

Love You Shaker

Good Morning!  Happy Monday!

It's a rainy Monday here, all I can say ---- it's better than snow!  I won't mention it's 50 degrees too.  Go to love the south and the quick dissolve of arctic blasts!

I WILL mention --- it's time for another challenge with Ella and her team over at

The PINK Elephant Challenge - #281
This week we have a technique challenge for you ---
Shaker cards!

Stop by the challenge blog and see the rest of the team's fabulous shaker projects to inspire you to make your own and link it up to share with us!

Here is mine:

PAPER: White cardbase. DP -
EXTRAS: Decorative label (Spellbinders D-lites); Love die (Paper Smooches); You die (Simon Says); Heart dies (Sizzix Framelits); Heart arrow die (Taylored Expressions); Shaker sticky foam (Stampin Up); glitter.

It's a little more busy than I originally envisioned.  I wanted to do a Valentine shaker and try doing more than one shaker on the card.  It's one of those cards that kind of grew and took on a mind of its own.  lol

Snow Buddies

Good Morning Tuesday!

Today's another DT day for me and

the 1st challenge of 2015 for

Here is our inspirational photo for the next 2 weeks:
Our sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps!

Thank you for sponsoring us!

They are giving our winner a prize of 7 Digis!  YEA!

Stop over at the {PIN}spirational Challenge blog
and see
the rest of the Design Team's wintry projects.
Leave them some blog love too!
STAMPS: Snowball Penguins (Bugaboo Stamps); Sentiment (My Favorite Things).
PAPER: White cardbase.  DP - Jack Frost (American Crafts).
INK: Copics and Spectrum Noir pens on digi image. Parisian Night (Memento).
EXTRAS: Stitched rectangle mat (Lil Inker Designs); Snowflake dies (Taylored Expressions); Banner die (Taylored Expressions); Diamond Stickles; White Liquid Pearls; Blue candy dots (Stampin' Up).

I love this digi from Bugaboo, it's so stinkin' cute!  I decided to print it out nice and big so it was center stage.  And, I used LOTS of stickles on the snowballs to help them shine.  I'm still having some printer issues that I hope to have remedied by the end of the week.  Having to borrow my son's printer as mine broke three weeks ago.  Have no more excuses now but to try and look online how to fix mine as my boy goes back to college Wed and needs his at least by the weekend!  Technology--a love/hate relationship!  lol

Wintry Blessings!

Happy New Year!

Good morning again!

It's now time for

This week is a color challenge ---
Black & Gold

Stop by Ella's blog and see all the fabulous talent of my fellow Design Team members and leave them some blog love!

And remember, we are now back to weekly challenges.

I decided to make a New Year's card:
STAMPS: Penguin (Kaiser Craft); Sentiment (Papertrey Ink); Bow tie (Lawn Fawn).
PAPER: Various paper from my stash - DP from Die Cuts with a View; Gold paper from Recollections.
INK: Onyx (Versafine); Gold metallic ink (Staz On). Gold pen.
EXTRAS: Notebook paper die cut for little border (Lil Inker Designs); Stitched rectangle mat (Lil Inker Designs); Large star die (Lil Inker Designs); Snowflake die (Taylored Expressions); Smaller star dies (Sizzix Framelits);

This cute little guy I've had for ages.  He's so festive with his little top hat.  I added the gold bow tie so he'd be ready to party!  lol  The rest of the card kind of evolved from there.  I wanted a festive effect so I chose stars and snowflakes.

Going Buggy

Good Monday Morning!

Lots of posts today as all my design teams are back from holiday break and in full swing!

Right now,  check out the

This week's theme:
Going Buggy

We want to see your projects using bugs.  Remember, you don't have to use a 2 Cute Ink image but we love it when you do!

Stop by the 2 Cute Ink Challenge blog and see all my fellow design team members projects.  Be sure and leave each of them some blog love.

The design team are all using Heidi's current new image, Bee Happy for the challenge.  Isn't it adorable?  It was so much fun coloring it and designing a card around it!  It is also the freebie digi over at the 2 Cute Ink Newsletter. You have to subscribe to the newsletter to get it free.  AND, there's a challenge on the 2 Cute Ink Facebook page where you can enter your own project using the freebie.  All you have to do is subscribe to the newsletter and join the Facebook page.

I did two cards with it.  One was debuted on the Newsletter and this one I made specifically for today's challenge:

STAMPS: Bee Happy (2 Cute Ink); Sentiment (Anna Griffin).
PAPER: White cardstock.
INK: Copics on digi; Colored Pencil; Libpstick Red (Simon Says).
EXTRAS: Honeycomb stencil (Heidi Swap); Alphabet dies (Lil Inker Designs); Crystal Stickles; black chevron ribbon.

For this first card, I decided to use some different medium, so I used a yellow colored pencil and colored in one of my Heidi Swapp stencils.  I was inspired by this month's Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking digital issue where they have a section on using colored pencils and crayons with different techniques. Despite printer issues resulting in a little smeared ink on the digi, I like how this card turned out.

For the card below, I used patterned paper from my stash and the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

STAMPS: Bee Happy (2 Cute Ink); Sentiment "Bee"-(Studio G).
PAPER: White, black, raspberry cardstock from stash; DP - Love Notes (Crate Paper). Honeycomb paper from stash.
INK: Copics on Digi; Tuxedo Black (Memento).
EXTRAS: Heart dies (Sizzix Framelits); Love word die (Simon Says); white sequins.
