Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge - July 2016

Happy Friday!

Happy July 4th Weekend, America!

July starts today!

A new monthly challenge begins at

Check out our current challenge inspiration:
Hop over to all the Design Team's blogs and check out their fabulous inspiration!

Last month was ended on a crazy note for me.  My mom is moving from WV to SC and last week (two weeks before her move), the move she thought she hired, backed out!  So, this week I scrambled quickly to go up from NC to help her pack her entire house before her closing (now in 6 days)!  Luckily she has another mover, but it's good I came up and will have her 95% packed when the movers get here!  Oh what a mess!  lol

Then, I will drive her in her car down to NC for a few days and then on to SC to close and unpack!  July is going to be a busy, busy month!

So, with all that I didn't get to finish a new card for this month's inspiration challenge.  So I'm re-cycling one from last month's Release.  Once I'm home again I will spend a couple days relaxing and stamping and will finish the new one to share.
Make sure to come back on July 13th for our Planner Series and then July 14-16th we will feature a PS Favorites where all the Designers will feature their favorite PS cards from the past that they've made.

Come play along with us this month in the Inspiration Challenge.  You could be our next winner!

Now I'm off to continue packing!

No Place Like Home...

Happy Weekend!

One card today before I'm off on a little road trip ---

I did a little watercolor play.  I took a brick emboss folder, smooshed some Mustard Seed on it, spritzed with water and rubbed it on watercolor paper.  Then, I stamped the shoes using some Barn Door, spritzed the stamp with a little water then stamped it on the bricks.  I added the sentiment stamped in Versafine Black Onyx. I die cut the stamped panel and black panel with a rectangle stitched die from Little Inkers Designs and added glitter to the shoes to finish it off.  The shoe stamp and sentiment are both from Stampendous.

Summer Re-Do

Here's a little sneak peek of my own ---

Part of our "staycation" involved a little painting and redecorating of my craft room.  Hubs ordered me a wall cabinet and an extra floor cabinet for much needed extra storage space!  The wall color is Aloha from Home Depot. It's a tad darker in person but still really bright and refreshing! I kept my pink rug and pink ceiling fan too!

Lots still to do.  It's far from finished yet, but it's just soooo much more refreshing and roomier and already a creativity boost!  Watch for more posts to come in the near future as the room comes together!  Just don't ask about the state of the rest of the house!  I'll give you one hint ---- we haven't been able to sleep in our bed or the guest bed for two nights so far!  ;)  Good thing my son's room still has a bed. I did discover through this that I could never live like a hoarder (except for my paper hoarding, of course)!  LOL

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series - June 2016

Good Morning Monday!
It's that time again---
Paper Sweeties Planner Seris!

Today we are sharing our June planners
with new planner stamps
that will be for sale
on June 15th,
at
Paper Sweetie's Release Party!

Below is my planner -

I have a hanging calendar my son gave me for Christmas with photos of his puppy (and himself) for each month.  I have it hanging in my craft room and so I decided this month to share it.  We don't have a lot going on this month other than relaxin and chilling --- as you can see!  LOL  A few weekend trips, but a couple of those are just road trips driving my mom from her home in WV to my brother's in Myrtle Beach.

Our 26th Anniversary was June 9th and so the Hubs took that week off and we had a "stay"cation just being very lazy at home.

Check out the rest of the PS Planner Team's planners for more inspiration!  I love how different each one is!

The Challenge #74 - Funny Farm Greetings!

Happy Monday!

Wow can you believe that May is almost over?
Summer is creeping around the corner!

Today we have a fabulous challenge
at
that will make you think of
summer down on the farm!

#74 Masculine Inspiration Challenge

Use the above photo as inspiration for a masculine card!

You could use the tractor itself, the color, the metal, the background field, lots of inspiration there!

Check out the Design Team's projects for more inspiration:

Monthly Featured Designer - Patti from Stationary Styles
Weekly Guest Designer - Wanda Cullen from Cullen-ary Creations

I don't have any farm or tractor stamps, alas.  Hmmmmm. However, I do have some farm animal stamps from Your Next Stamp that I used and my inspiration came from the red and metal of the tractor and "farmy" things to inspire my card --

As I stated, I used the farm animal stamps from Your Next Stamp.  The sentiment and the "snort' are also Your Next Stamp and coordinate with the farm animal set.  I fussy cut the animals and placed them inside a photo die (Taylored Expressions) I cut from pattern paper.  The wonky circle in the top corner behind the photo die is the inside of a wreath die from WPlus9.  It looked like a saw blade to me so I cute one from silver paper along with the curly stitched dies, also from Your Next Stamp.  I thought these would resembled barbed wire.  For my background I chose red woodgrain paper that reminded me of the side of a barn.

For Following Challenges:
I used the sketch from Fusion for layout inspiration --

Now it's your turn to get inky and share your masculine cards inspired by our inspirational photo this week!  You might be one of our next Weekly Guest Designers!  YAY!

Challenge Blessings!
