Hello there!
Well, as they say, better late than never. I'm a few days late getting my card up for the current Seize The Birthday. It's been a very chaotic and stressful couple of months so my crafting has been pretty nonexistent except for a crafty day with Bonnie a few weeks ago. Long story short, my FIL has Alzheimer's and we had to help my Hub's stepmom move him into a memory care unit last month and it has not gone well since. The last week has thankfully been the best week for him yet so praying all the adjustments that have had to be made are beginning to help.
So now onto my card, my "pretty in pink" birthday card. Nancy is our host this fortnight and she has chosen "Primarily Pink" as the Topping. I took my card one way at first but then it ended up as shown here, which I like much better. Sometimes you just have to trust the process.
I kept thinking about what I wanted to create and I realized I haven't made a "traditional" birthday card in a while so I went with cake. The cake is by Catherine Pooler Designs(CP Designs). My background is Honey Bee Stamps stamped in Cotton Candy on a Cotton Candy card front. And the frame is Pink Fresh Studios. The inks, Cotton Candy and It's A Girl by CP Designs.
