4CC#348 - Gift Card Holder

Happy Thursday!

 It was brought to my attention that my post didn't post.  Alas, that's what I get for trying to get a little ahead by making titled/empty posts ahead of time, forgetting and making a new one, then deleting said new one and scheduling the old empty one.  O..M..G!  I need a vaca, which I'm getting in a week!  Hopefully I will find my mind then!  LOL

It's another crazy week around here! Lots going on. Been looking at new facilities for our dog while we are on vacation. Then, after the monumental deluge of rain we had last weekend/Monday, discovered a roof leak/water damage, roof buckling and now trying to get it fixed before we leave so we don't come home to our roof and attic sitting in our living room.

Today IS Thursday and so there is 

a new challenge happening

and she had decreed us to create gift card holders!

4CC #348 Gift Card Holder

I perused Pinterest and Google and You Tube for something different to try for this challenge and found several tutorials for gift card purses ----

 You can see the tutorial I used here.  It was really easy except the gift card has to go in kind of angled or the corners tear a bit.  It is closed with a flap made from a small oval punch with self stick velcro on it.  I may try one of the other tutorials I saw because this one was a little tight for an actual gift card.  The video shows putting small candy or lip balm inside.

Star Congrats

Hello again, Monday!

Another card for today...

It's almost graduation time again and so I am adding to my stash that I sell to my Hubs' colleagues.  Also, I have two grads in my family this year, my oldest son, getting his Master's in History and my daughter in-law (his wife) getting her Bachelors of Arts in History.  Woot! Woot!  So proud of both of them!

I tried out another new cutting plate from Hero Arts, Star Confetti.  The stitched dies are Lil Inker Design's.  Sentiment die is Catherine Pooler and I  believe the grad cap die is Impression Obsession, but not totally sure.

Butterfly Wishes

Playing around with the new Catherine Pooler inks this morning and sharing the result with a couple of challenges...

I took the ink pads and just ran them across white cardstock then die cut the butterflies.  Such gorgeous vibrant colors!  These inks are part of the Spring Fling collection of inks by Chatherine Pooler --- It's A Girl, Bellini, Garden Party and It's a Boy.  The sentiment die cut is also Catherine Pooler.  The butterfly die cut is Stamplorations.

Happy Saturday!  Happy Earth Day!

It's also my niece, Sophia's birthday party day!  She turned 3 on April 17th.  We couldn't make it to SC for her party this weekend but I'm thinking about her today and hoping she has a blast!  I'm sharing the birthday card I made for her and that I'm hoping she will like it.  She loves Minions and Peppa Pig.  Her party today is Peppa Pig themed.  I didn't have any Peppa-ish stamps, so I went with a Minion card.  

I CASED this card, by Robin Anderson, that I found on Pinterest....

 I added a little of my own flair with the heart gems and flower buttons.  I also printed out a digital printable and colored it for the inside and added a sentiment...

A quick post...

Inlaid diecutting, watercoloring, embossing and stamping...I die cut and inlaid the umbrella a yellow and red butterfly.  You can't see in the pic, but the umbrella base is embossed.

This week has flown by.  I'm all thrown off on days.  Must be since the hubs had Monday off.  That's a rare thing.  At any rate, the weekend is one day away, which is always a good thing!

4CC #347 0- Butterflies

I love making butterfly cards.  I do have to say though, my mojo has been missing for a while and Tamie really stumped me on this challenge.  Maybe I just had too many ideas and couldn't narrow down my choice!  ;) .  Yeah, that's what I'm going with.  LOL

I created my card using a sun stencil from My Favorite Things and two stamp sets from Stamplorations, Trendy Butterflies, Trendy Butterflies 2, Flutter Zen 1 Dies.
