4 Crafty Chicks #372 - FALL

Good Morning, Thursday!

Today is the day for a new challenge
at
4 Crafty Chicks!

I'm your hostess this week.

4CC #372 - FALL

Give us your apples, pumpkins, pumpkin spice whatever, trees, leaves, acorns, woodland critters, sweaters, etc.  Whatever makes you think Fall/Autumn.

For my card I used a tree die by Gina Marie Designs, part of an early birthday gift from my friend, Bonnie Klass when we got together on World Cardmaking Day to craft a little and catch up.  I watercolored the background with Zigs and then used the "leaf" stamps from Hero Arts Color Layering Fall Trees Set using Catherine Pooler Inks.  The sentiment is from the same set. The deer stamp/die is from Hero Arts Color Layering Snowy Tree. I'm not sure I like the deer, he looks a little goofy to me but the Hubs liked it so I left it.

Now go check out my teammates' projects as well as our Guest Designer, Natalie over at the Hen House.
Then link up your fall inspired project in the Inlinkz by Tuesday, October 17 at Noon Mountain Time.

We love to see your creativity!

You're The Bomb!

Happy Sunday!

Today is our daughter-in-law's birthday so I wanted to share the card I made for her...

I used a stencil (Radiating Rays) by My Favorite Things and sponged it with Catherine Pooler ink (It's a Girl and Bellini).  The batwoman image, sentiments and bats are a set by Darcie's Heart & Home. I colored her with Copics.  The cute button face is also from Darcie, coordinates with stamp set.  The stitched scallop frame is from Pretty Pink Posh.

4CC #371 - Easel Cards

Hello!

Good morning, Thursday!
There's a new challenge up at 4 Crafty Chicks today and Leanne is our hostess!

Now, I have to admit I haven't done an easel card in quite a while.  I had to go online again to write down the instructions.  Then, I had the dilemma of what exactly to make.  Usually, I don't have that problem, but my last two, which were actually also my first two easel cards, I did flower bouquets and I wanted to do something different.  I knew I was going to use a word die sentiment for the inside to prop up my easel.  So after about a day of perusing Pinterest for ideas, this is what I finally came up with...

I have to share one more photo because "someone" felt the need to lend a "paw" to the photographing...
Now, go check out Leanne, Lori, and Tamie's projects as well as our new Guest Designer, Natalie, from  "Crafty Natalie's Blog" and welcome her.  She will be guesting all of October!  Welcome Natalie!

4CC#370 - Black, White + Another

Good Morning!

Are you ready for a new challenge at

LORI is our Hostess this week!

She's chosen a fun color scheme for us to use ---

I chose lime green for my extra color to make this Halloween card with "Frank" by Creative Visions.  I can't believe it's almost October, which means Halloween time!  I love Halloween!  I loved it as a kid, in college and then again when my boys were growing up.  I loved helping them create their costumes and carving jack-o-lanterns.  Halloween is the only other holiday I go all out to decorate around the house besides Christmas.  This year we will have a new addition on the porch, "Halloween Minion Dave".  My hubs, Dave, loves Minion Dave and when we were at Home Depot around his birthday last month, I saw it and bought it for him.  He can't wait to put him out on Oct. 1st.

Well, I sure got sidetracked.  Back to my card, the sentiment is part of the Frankenstein set too. I made a mask from him and then I stamped him again on good cardstock, colored him with Spectrum Noir marker, masked and stamped the background.  The bats are dies from Spellbinders and the stitched banner is from Verve Stamps.
Stop by the Hen House and see Leanne's, Tamie's and Lori's projects.  They always have fabulous creations!  And then link up your Black,White, +1 and play along!

Happy Haunting

One more post for the night.  This time for the CAS Watercolor Challenge - Silhouette.

I cut a black silhouette out of the wolf die from Spellbinders.  I traced the circle of it on matting paper to place on watercolor before watercoloring.  I watercolored the background with Stormy Sky, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti set, "Treat Yo Self".

Happy Hauntings!

Candy Corn Love

Happy Sunday!

It's been a while for me to post more than just team cards.  I've had a chance to get into my craft room this weekend and play around some.  So, thought I'd share some of the results tonight.   I wanted to play in the CAS Mixup Challenge all month and now getting in just in time!

This month's challenge included watercolor wash.  I originally created a wash background using Barn Door Red, Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, and Mustard Seed distress inks to create the wash then added some red splatters.  I cut a candy corn die out of the middle to create a shaker.  The candy corn die and the sentiment are both from Impression Obsession stamp and die "Eat Candy Corn".

Paper Sweeties September 2017 New Release Rewind!

Today is the final day of the
Paper Sweeties Release Week!

We've got one more round of inspirational projects to show you!

Paper Sweeties Design Team:

Here is my card for today ---
I wanted to add the cute little puppy that goes along with the Sent from my heart set but my coloring mojo was a no-go yesterday.  I need some serious coloring time.  However, looking at that set with the trio of letters I thought I'd use some of the Paper Sweeties birds.  So I created a little scene where those yellow birds are working together to deliver some letters into the mailbox(in case it's not evident of my intention).

Our Inspirational Challenge is still going on as well, through the end of September!  Come play along with us and maybe be our next winner!
Paper Sweeties Blessings!

A Crafty Buddy's Buddy

Hello again!

Trying today to get caught up on team projects and other card projects.  However, I wanted to share another addition ---

Yep!  We adopted a 2nd kitten!  Yes, we're nuts!  LOL We figured our little spitfire Bella needed a mate (so she would stop attacking Riley and us). Plus, the County Animal shelter had been inundated with kittens galore and local rescues and local SPCA had adoption marathons to help get them all adopted.  We went to the SPCA as there were a couple there we were very interested in.  We came home with Rory ---

Meet Rorschach (Rory).

It took a good two weeks for Bella to accept Rory as part of our family and about that long for Rory to accept the fact he must share a home with Riley, our dog! LOL Poor little guy had to contend with recovering from surgery, a new home, new siblings(one not even same species) all at once.

As you can see they now are good buddies and all is well. Rory even tolerates Riley and Riley tolerates both of them. Now if we can hold Bella off from prematurely going into heat before her spay appointment, it will be even better! She's not yet 5 months and she was underweight until just this week so we had to wait.  Thank goodness Rory received his surgery before coming home with us.  We definitely don't need any other little ones pitter pattering around!  hahaha

Yes, he gets up on my craft table and stretches out like he owns it!
If anything they will help me be more diligent in keeping my craft room clean so there won't be any inky or painted paws!
