Care and Kindness

Good Morning, Tuesday!

It's nice and sunny here in Cary, NC and kind of warmish.

Today I'm sharing another card I made yesterday.  This one took a little more though provoking and playing around to get it to personal satisfaction.  I feel like I've been in a white card trend lately and trying to push myself to use more color in my backgrounds.  I keep thinking about using more bold colors with my embossing folders and cover plates and then in the end I opt for white most of the time.  Trying to push myself out of that some.  I feel like I made a baby step towards that with this card with at least making the cover plate colored.  There's still a lot of white.

When I saw the color combo of Lemon and Lime at Color Hues I immediately thought cacti and sunshine.  So this is my version of that. I actually did use Lemon Sorbet and Lime Rickey ink colors by Catherine Pooler so that's spot on I feel.  LOL

Nancy, I am a huge fan of the southwestern vibe this card is giving off. The stamped circle is the perfect backdrop for the cactus. I love the cover plate. Thank you for playing in my sketch challenge at The Paper Players this week!

Nance that coverplate works so well with the cactus and adds a bold pop of colour against your white base. I love the splash of sunshine yellow too. Amazing how impactful just two colours can be - and a great take on our sketch too! Thanks for playing with us over at The Paper Players this week!

Fun card, Nance! The background pairs well with the cactus as they both have points. I too tend to play it safe and grab neutral tones more often than not. Great direction with our colors at Color Hues, thank you for playing.
